The PM²-Agile Guide supports institutions and organisations using PM² to effectively introduce Agile practices to their projects while maintaining enterprise awareness and compliance at the overall project level. PM²-Agile should be perceived/understood as an extension of PM², enhancing its overall offering. Agile is an approach described by a set of principles and values that focuses on delivering valuable solutions. It promotes adaptive planning, evolutionary development, early delivery, continuous improvement and encourages rapid and flexible response to change. Agile appreciates the inherent uncertainty of the environment and creates an organisation that is highly adaptive by using short feedback loops to quickly respond to changes in product requirements. It aims to constantly improve and streamline all processes. While PM²-Agile is fully aligned with PM² and developed upon its successful legacy, it tailors and incorporates proven Agile and Lean best-practices from a wide range of globally accepted standards and methodologies, as well as relevant operational experience from the European Institutions.
